A pair of Victorian 18ct yellow gold Essex crystal cufflinks, featuring four different terriers of various colourings. Each dog is painted proudly against a white iridescent background. The animals have been carved into the back of the cabochon rock crystals and then painted in minute detail with fine paint brushes. When viewed from the front they seem to float in a three-dimensional trompe l'oeil effect, inside the crystal.
